Stéphane Théri was born in 1963. He is the 6th of eight children. His childhood and adolescence were marked by a strong taste for literature (Jack London, Victor Hugo, Tennessee Williams, John Steinbeck, Emile Zola, Ernest Hemingway, Marcel Pagnol, Charles Baudelaire, etc.), which for a long time remained his only source of escape. He soon moved on to writing, acting and a passion for cinema. He currently lives in the Ile de France region. Stéphane Théri wrote his 1st novel at the age of 14, with the evocative title “14 ans seulement”.
In high school, although his trajectory is complicated by an extremely marginal attitude, he will surprise teachers with his words. Some will want to meet him and take the bus with him to discuss his essays. Others will try to build exceptional links with him, like his physical education teacher, who will save him from exclusion at a disciplinary board meeting. His French teachers sent some of his texts to the academy. Despite the principal's desire to expel him, with the support of some of his teachers, he continued his studies until he obtained his baccalaureate.
With his A-levels in hand, he embarked on a career path that would be as turbulent as his childhood. After starting out as an accountant, he soon turned to sales. Director of Brands in France for groups such as Benetton Sport System, Yamaha and the Chineese Bicycle Company, he organized the World Mountain Bike Championships as main sponsor in 1993.
In 1996, he left the Benetton Group. Having completed several training courses (Marketing, Communication, Merchandising, Meeting Management), he undertook further training to become a consultant/trainer in business intelligence. Then, in 2003, he founded his own marketing and communications consultancy (A & O). During this period, Stéphane worked with major professional organizations, and even for the French Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. During these years, he went to the cinema almost every day and never stopped writing (screenplays for short and feature films, short stories, novels). In 1999, he wrote and submitted to the WGA in New York the screenplay for the feature film “Help Wanted”, which he later proposed to Malpaso, Clint Eastwood's production company.
Freedom and independence are, like images and text, the fundamentals of his life. Her need for space has led her to travel extensively (Africa, Indonesia, USA, Italy, Austria, Spain, Morocco, Tunisia, West Indies, Finland, Denmark, etc.). Her travels and the stages of her life are true sources of inspiration.
Stéphane has been working on a multi-volume publishing project, retracing the different eras of his life to address the ills of our society. His writings cover a wide spectrum, from social novels to theater and film. Stéphane Théri was also the co-founder and managing editor of Pas Vu, Pas Lu magazine, published online by the Terhoma association.
